Dahlia Rife was the woman who had it and fought to never lose it. A humble soul, the goodwill of others was always her main priority. That being said, clinical psychology seemed to be exactly where her puzzle pieces fit.

She's been from state to state, town to town in different mental facilities, all different experiences. Atascadero State Hospital would forever change her life.

Christopher Hawkins was that element that would change her life. An expected meeting with an unexpected demeanor, he was refreshing. Only Dahlia knew that his nice boy next door was all a terrible facade put on to cover the fact that Christopher Hawkins was, indeed, broken.

In her eyes, he was another patient who needed treatment, not that there was anything wrong with that, she cared for him deeply, along with the rest of her patients. She could treat all cases.

Yet, could Christopher's unpredictable ways turn this into much more than a doctor-patient relationship? Or would this be her first lost cause?
