In a world where the name of your fate can show up at any time until you're 17, everyone's experiences and expectations are different. However, NAMES don't bring stability for everyone. 

For Avery, she only wishes to have a loving destiny with the person she is marked with. While Jacob's name pulses and glows everytime they're together, her heart beats faster for someone else, a mysterious NO-NAME that has just moved into her school. 

While the NO-NAMES are looked down on in society, a serial psychopath hunts for the names of the elite, carving out their flesh, wanting to rip their fates away -brimmed with jealousy. 

Avery and her NO-NAME new friend works together to take down the culprit and at the same time, work towards understanding the hands of fate, questioning the reliability of the NAMES and together, defeat the hierarchal system of NAMES.
