Hi I'm Charlotte, I'm sixteen and I can't stand the thought that I have the same three people around me for the rest of my life until I get married to one of them, then the rest, go poof. My protector, Shane, he knows where i am at all times .My Reader, Conner, he's my best friend, and we can communicate with our minds, well only when he wants to, I don't get a choice when he starts to listen in. And my, Omleage, Colin, if somethings wrong with me or im in danger Colin alerts Connor and Shane, then poof they're there. I always thought since I was little I was going to marry Shane, he was always drop dead gorgeous and he knows it. But Connor has always been there for me. But ever since the, "fight" with the Detornors everyone got a little distant I don't talk to Shane too much anymore unless we are forced or bored. Colin...... He was killed by the Detornors a month ago. And now I talk to Connor everyday its like the "fight brought us closer" I guess. But every single one of them knows something that I don't. The blood had already leaked down my forehead, but I kept my eyes on Shane and tried to blink quickly to clear my vision. "Hang on, please. Please hang on." He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street.
