Wei Wuxian who was forced into dark arts from the many unfortunate events to himself and those that he loved. He manage to survive and stand at the top as the master of dark arts. No one knows that this grand-master who seems fearful is actually a lonely person.
Lan Wangji, who has live under strict guidance of the righteous path of the Gusu Lan sect, meets the dark art grand-master; yet he could not feel evil coming from such person. His curiosity has lead him closer to this grand-master.
