Afraid she might never get out of the dungeon with a hideous orc as a neighbour, she meets Haldir from Lothlorien in her despair. They get along, and he seems to be the only one who's kind to her. The King of Mirkwood however isn't so sweet and talkative to her as the Lothlorien elf. Roan wants nothing to do with him, but when she learns about his past, he suddenly doesn't seem so cold...

I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books).
