Empress has always dreamed of becoming like her older sister who excels in what she does. To be able to reach this goal, she focuses on her studies and does not entertain any suitors at all. But after falling for River, her half-sister's half-brother, her perspectives in life have changed. He is cold and snobbish on the outside yet sweet and possessive towards her. Finally caught by the love bug, she is determined to make their relationship work no matter how complicated it may seem. As problems keep on getting their way, Empress is then left with nothing but a scarred trust and a broken heart.
