Along the shore, where the black trees of Burnt Forest meet the Red Sea, bloated corpses spot the sandy beach. Baby whales, giant fish with bone-white teeth, and dolphins lay like offerings on the shore, their eyes gone, their thick skin crisping in the hot sun. Rey has seen this before, years ago when he entered the Red lands, a young Grey warrior trying to save his people from Lady Red. The people believe Lady Red long dead, a bad memory whose wake has just begun to still. But Rey knows the signs, knows Lady Red never died, only sleeps. Against all caution, Rey must try to save the people he loves from Her awakening, a maneuver with consequences that will ripple far from the Red shore, forcing open the protective gates of all Moonwood.

When Cressa-la breaks the first rule of her tribe and touches the water surrounding her island, everything she knows turns on its head. Talking, sinister dolphins, mind control, and a whole world just under the waves await her on her eigteenth birthday... but she never asked for any of this. All she wanted was to become a Tribe Leader and take care of her village. It's amazing how one screw-up can change everything.
