Our damaged world, caused by centuries of a climate changing faster than we could adapt, is very different from the place our parents grew up in. We have survived riots, famines and plagues but there has only been one thing on my mind for the last few decades: finding my brother.

With higher and higher temperatures being reached across the globe every year, it's difficult to deny that we're not being affected by climate change. There isn't much literature out there that normalises the changes happening to our planet, so Pandora is an exploration of the world that our children may be living in.

Pandora follows Tam's story. Born in the present day, Tam is living in a future shaped by us and is trying to survive in a world no longer as plentiful as it used to be. Travel has become difficult so it is only the fear of dying before reconciling with a brother who disappeared decades ago that has forced Tam to risk the journey.

The idea for Pandora was conceived after reading the Global Warming of 1.5°C report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. A global temperature rise of 1.5°C leads to some terrifying effects on our planet and there isn't much out there exploring what everyday life would be like in such a world. Numbers don't mean much when they're only on paper, and there won't be any of the drastic changes required to make a difference until we start being seriously affected ourselves. And by that time it will be too late. Pandora is a cautionary tale about what will happen if we don't do enough in the little time we have available.

Kit - a young B-Tier Creationeer - didn't want this job. She's not trained to be an Intelligent Species Caretaker, and yet she's forced to care for the last remnants of a damaged and traumatized humanity by an old, malicious evil. After carrying us around in a modified to-go habitat bubble for 18K years, Kit wants a vacation, but is hesitant to leave us alone on our new planet she built; Earth. She confides in Pan - an A-Tier Caretaker and Kit's best friend and roommate. She reveals the full story of how she came to be in possession of us and why she can't hand us over to a licensed Caretaker. Pan reveals the tragic truth of the first 10 years of our existence before Kit found us. The new knowledge Ignites a fire in both. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice. And also Screw Jim. (warning: Contains strong language.) We live on a bubble planet." :) ) NOTE: They're not gods. This is not theology. They don't have all the answers, they're not all powerful, and they can't do everything. They're closest equivalent in a fandom would be like lesser cousins to the Q. In this AU, Humanity knows about Kit. They don't deify her. To them, Kit's presence is normal, tangible, and real. She's always been there.

For what seems to be endless life cycles of seasons after seasons after seasons, the people of the planet, Caswuna, lived a respectable and healthy life. The changes the people of this world went through were not anything drastic. Everyone realized they had to take charge more than their usual everyday activities. Because of the global economic catastrophe, most, if not all forms of government, through the many nations, were silenced. Slowly but surely, the small groups found out how to save their water... by not washing clothes or using less of the clothing they had. They came to realize they had to wear something from elements of nature. Many but not all tribe members learned to live without the domination of materialism, like clothes. This story can speak to us today. We can't let greed, industrialism, and the simplest details of life dictate our personal, cultural, and national lives. We can live without these industrial standards if we want to hard enough. Don't let shiny objects be an obsession. It is never what we have or do that is the issue, but it could be how we live our own lives. Never live in our comfort zones. It will always destroy you in the end. This story is about a young adult female, Elenwen Aurora Shade on how she will enlighten and guide all the people of villagers around her to a wonderful future while going back to the era that nearly destroyed itself because of greed and power that has change a lot all around them.

M for manipulative A for attitude I for impulsive S for sarcastic I for irresistible E for emotionally unavailable Growing up, you're told that the safest choice in destructive situations is to walk away. Whether it's a destructive personality or you're in an uncomfortable situation, you leave because your conscience tells you that enough is enough. --- But my conscience is on indefinite holiday in the Bermuda Triangle. I am the destructive personality that your parents warned you about. The girl who hangs out with people that pressure you into drugs. The girl who invites you to a party, fully knowing it will end early because her "friends" are completely neurotic. I'm the girl who encourages you to sleep with multiple people, regardless of who they are or what they have, because who says you can't? If I invite you out, don't expect me to stick around long because I get bored easily-leaving you stranded in a field somewhere in the middle of nowhere, telling you to call a taxi-even if there's no service. I'll admit, I'm a girl who didn't care about much of anything or have much to give. Maybe you'd see things differently if you understood the true horror I've been through. --- Then, after a binge and a drive, I end up in trouble. But that's not the only trouble I find. --- Suddenly, the door swung open, and in rushed my mother. She saw me sitting in the chair and rushed over, scolding me almost immediately. "Maisie Scarlett Brooks, what were you thinking?!" "I was thinking it was time to come home and go to bed. Instead, I get pulled over by some obnoxious police officer."

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

MY ADDICTION TO BELLAMY BLAKE FUELED THIS. ~~~~~~~~~~~ (Y/n) Griffin is constantly worried about her younger sister, Clarke. So when Clarke was thrown into jail on the Ark, following the death of their father, (Y/n) couldn't decide if it was for better or worse. That is, until, she is informed by her step-mother that 100 juvenile delinquents are being sent down to Earth. Clarke being one of them. At this point, (Y/n) knew she needed to go down, too. The trouble is, a nuclear conflict had decimated civilisation on earth a century earlier - so this entire plan may be a suicide mission. Life on the Ark was wrapped up in politics and moral beliefs, causing rifts between people and stations. Down on Earth, things may not be very different. Down on Earth, everything is horrible. Mostly, everything... at first at least... Her whole life (Y/n) Griffin has been fighting to succeed, which only augments down on the ground. Will she be able to balance friendship, war and love in order to survive? You'll have to find out, because life can change in an instant. The 100, Seasons 1-5 Completed: December 2024 ~~~~~~~~ IN MY HUMBLE OPINION - THE BOOK IS GREAT. TV SERIES IS GREAT. READ AND BINGE BOTH S'IL VOUS PLAÎT. THAT MEANS PLEASE :) it's a bit long but all good things are. More adventure. This is a dystopian story that keeps on going 💪 OKAY LOVIES. If you're familiar with The 100 then this story follows the first 5 seasons of the TV series... because tbh in my opinion it went on for a bit long and then I didn't even get around to watching the last season BUT LIVE LAUGH LOVE THIS MUCH OF IT. The storyline is a constant thrill - new problems and plot lines infiltrating the characters. All the characters are from the show aside from the ones that are obviously not in the show 🤠 BUT IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE SHOW THEN JUST ENJOY. But seriously whenever I get Bellamy reels on insta I retreat to this book, thankful to have written something that fuels my delus
