It was inevitable, they say, the U.S.A falling. A dictator rising from the ashes of war. But nobody knew what would happen afterward.
Melissa Skylar and Violet Johnson are two kids who live in the Oligarchy, a gender-based society under Karen Johnson. Violet is Karen's daughter, a quiet, soft-spoken girl who just wants to play flute. Melissa is independent, fierce, and wants to escape her future.
But in one night, Melissa's mom is taken, and she is faced with an intriguing proposition - to become a City Hunter and find the Utopias, supposedly the only places left in the Oligarchy that weren't ravaged in the war. In return, she'll have an opportunity to find her mother. Meanwhile, Violet has a choice. Will she follow in her mother's footsteps, or become something more? Somebody worthy of finding the Utopias?
But the Utopias, however, are nothing like anybody expected.

Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Since then, the worst debtor nations have been under military occupation by the troops of the debt recovery corporations, and the worst debtor of all is Měi-guó, the old United States. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years is dead. She flies home from war, upset, to do what needs to be done, but once there she finds out all is not as it seems. Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. This is fairly dark and gritty near-future dystopian SF. ----- Debt Collectors War is now on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QZG1RHI/ Also on iTunes and B&N and other places. COMPLETE TRILOGY 🏆Wattys Award book 1 in portuguese version. Governing Idea: We will become them and then, they will become us. Trilogy story inspired by the verse of the holy bible (REVELATION 22:13): "I am the Alpha and the Omega. There is no one before me, neither shall there be after..." Book 1 - Heirs of Planet Life Book 2 - The Origin of Life Book 3 - The Battle of Gods Trilogy with more than two million readings LOGLINE: An insecure young man, in love with a mysterious classmate, who reveals herself to be an alien willing to do anything to save her universe, finds himself involved in a risky journey where he is the only one capable of saving an alien princess from a mortal enemy. What mysteries are hidden beyond the stars? While most of the youngsters are concerned with faculty, friendships and even girlfriends, Nicholas spends his hours with his head out of orbit; literally. Making the course of Astronomy, he feels better among gaseous bodies, supernova stars and black holes, dreaming in one day to unravel the great enigmas of the Universe. Until a mysterious girl enters the classroom. And Nicholas discovers, excited, that he finds his own star. Zara is her name, the one whose hair looks like rays of sun, the only one capable of wringing the air - and the voice - of the young protagonist of this story. And, against all possibilities, something arises between then. But do not think that this is a teenage romance like so many that you have read, because Zara, contrary to what Nícolas thinks, is not what it seems. Coming from an unknown galaxy, she has a mission: To attract Nicholas and take him to her planet, alive. At any cost. The success of her mission depends not only on her future, but on everything she believes in ... including the future of humanity. When the truth appears, Nicholas is wrapped in a web of lies and intrigue that goes beyond everything he dreamed of. (2013) All Rights Reserved - Eda-Bn and CBL.
