It was inevitable, they say, the U.S.A falling. A dictator rising from the ashes of war. But nobody knew what would happen afterward. Melissa Skylar and Violet Johnson are two kids who live in the Oligarchy, a gender-based society under Karen Johnson. Violet is Karen's daughter, a quiet, soft-spoken girl who just wants to play flute. Melissa is independent, fierce, and wants to escape her future. But in one night, Melissa's mom is taken, and she is faced with an intriguing proposition - to become a City Hunter and find the Utopias, supposedly the only places left in the Oligarchy that weren't ravaged in the war. In return, she'll have an opportunity to find her mother. Meanwhile, Violet has a choice. Will she follow in her mother's footsteps, or become something more? Somebody worthy of finding the Utopias? But the Utopias, however, are nothing like anybody expected. -- In case you are wondering: This story is clean, there is nothing too mature, but it does contain some intense injuries and violence --

Willing to risk her life, a seasoned soldier recruits a vengeful goddess to fight a war of the future. *** When UN Army Captain Akira Dunn is sent to investigate an outlandish legend, she doesn't question her orders. Realistically, she knows it's impossible that a goddess lives among them; even less likely is that said immortal is dead set on destroying the world's greatest enemy, Verus Rex. So when myth becomes reality, and she finds herself face to face with the goddess Danya, Akira begins to feel something she had forgotten over the last fourteen years of war: hope. Unfortunately, Concordia is far from an easy opponent, and the country in the sky seemingly takes pride in destroying the world beneath them. Danya's defiant personality, coupled with her sporadic outbursts of anger, doesn't help either, and it's Akira's job to keep the temperamental goddess in line. But Akira refuses to let that stop her. For the sake of their future, and for those that no longer have one, Akira intends to do whatever it takes to end the war once and for all. *** WARNING: This story contains depictions of suicide and violence that may not be suitable for some readers.
