Keith Kogane is an introvert, and has been abused by his dad for years and has kept it a secret from everyone, his mother, his older brother shiro, and even his twin, Axca....Shiro lives with Axca at their mom's house. Leaving Keith alone at his dads house. As months go by, Keith's dad, Dereck, is becoming more abusive, and his dad's friends are becoming more touchy, specifically, Mark. More and more bruises apear in Keith's body, and the amount of cuts on Keith's body triples. Keith keeps pushing away his friends, Pidge, Matt, Adam, Luna, and his siblings. Keith is not really ecstatic about meeting his soulmate, he believes that it wouldn't be fair for whoever his soulmate is, to be stuck with someone like him.

Lance is an extravert, the complete opposite of Keith. Lance is considered to be the school's 'badboy' and gets into too many fights for his families liking, but they love him regardless. Lance is your classic badboy flirtatious bisexual Cuban boy. When Lance was a little kid, he lost his dad, this caused him to push everyone away. His mum remarried, but then he left her. He became a cold person, which lead him to be the bad boy he is today. To this day he still blames himself for not doing anything to save his dad. Lance is extremely excited to meet his soulmate, and will do anything for his soulmate.
