Still I Rise

A golden crown. That white dress yet coated with gold luxuries. Those dangling gold bangles and sparkling rings. A horse with a white and gold accessories on its saddle outside waiting for me with a carriage which is full of gold and white motif. What a sumptuous vision, isn't it? But let me tell you something.

I may be covered with gold and all those luxuries on me that stuns everyone ever from afar, but I am deeply coated with black glitters and blood. All of these are so much overwhelming yet disheartening.

All these thoughts are floating in every part of my brain. Natauhan na lamang ako ng may biglang nagbukas nang pintuan. Napatingin kaagad ako ruon sa pintuan hanggang sa nakita ko ang hindi ko inaasahang makita.

My eyes were in horror. This can't be happening. Bakit ngayon? Napatayo ako bigla despite of the make up artist fixing my makeup. "P-please. Let's talk outside..." I said with my shaky voice and teary eyes. "No. Let's talk here. Ayaw mo bang malaman nila ang katotohanan? Pwes, I'm here to make that not happen. Ano ang mga papeles na ito, Noreen?!" Yawyaw niya pagkatapos itapon ang mga papeles na kanyang sinampal sa aking pagmumukha.

Despite of my eyes shaking, I stared right into her eyes. "Please..." Gusto kong kunin lahat ng lakas ng luob ko at sabihin lahat nang gusto kong sabihin para makapag-explain. Ngunit, walang salita ang lumabas sa aking bibig.

"Magsasalita ka o ipapakita ko ito sa iyong fiancé?" Pananakot niya saakin. Ang kaninang namumuo na mga luha sa aking mga mata ay tuluyan ng nagsi-tulo. "You are the Zotyerd's Princess! What have you done?!"
