Things Will Get Better (Short story Version)

Oliver's mum not home half the time because she's busy with work, so he has to look after his little sister who is 9 years old, his mum is a single mum, so it is just him and his little sister Lucy. And Megan's mother is in alcoholic and also her mother hits her whenever she is having an off day, and her mother is hardly there most of the time, so she has to be the adult in the family with her 18-year-old brother, when her father's in hospital. Oliver and Megan they are there for each other, and they understand the struggles they are going through at home, and they will be there for each other.
