The Infected never sleep.  The Infected never stop.  Despite all the time and the fight, they never will.  The future is never promising in a world like this one, and the light has yet to be found.  Joel has faught, has protected, and has survived, Ellie the same and luck can not always dig them out of the graves the Infected have dug.

It's been 5 years since the eventfull and tragic year that Ellie met Joel, they live at Tommy's and have a great life, or at least as great as it gets in the land of the Infected.  Joel is happy and stress free and Ellie has found someone to love for the first time since Riley.  Her and Joel are a family, but will it last?

She goes to her mother's friend Marlene who helps her out by taking her to two smugglers, Joel and Tess, who are instructed to take her to a group of Fireflies who can reverse engineer a cure for the infected. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? What will happen on their adventure together? Rated M for language, violence, suggestive content, and death.
