Everyone knows it's too dangerous to swim in the water at Poseidon's Gateway due to the countless drownings and missing persons reported surrounding the area. Poseidon's Gateway is the mouth of a sandy aqua river - an estuary; the sand churns at a strong current as it always flows to the east. Despite the danger, Theá-Neroú, a young female of the nearby town, uses the estuary for her own leisurely swimming. However, one afternoon, the current drags her out to the mouth of the estuary to a mirrored wall; she's forced through it by the current and enter. To Theá-Neroú's shock, there's an entire world behind the reflection beneath the surface of Poseidon's Gateway; it was a society so grand and old. The inhabitants: Fishpeople; ruled over by a god named Poseidon who forever searched for his beloved. (A story created by me).

Garfield thought it was just an old legend when he dived into Thalassia Ocean and found Poseidon's trident lying unguarded. Drunk and laughing, he grabbed it and swam back up, thinking he had won the bet. What he did not know was that by holding the trident for too long, he had unknowingly absorbed a fraction of Poseidon's power. For a week, Garfield noticed strange things happening around him. Rain fell when he was sad, the waves responded to his emotions, and he could even breathe underwater. When the museum took the trident away, he felt a sudden weakness, as if something had been ripped from his soul. That was when Poseidon appeared in his apartment, furious and ready to punish him. But Poseidon hesitated when he saw the ocean's energy radiating from Garfield. The human had unknowingly bonded with the trident, and separating them could destroy him. Now, Poseidon has no choice but to stay close, protecting Garfield while searching for a way to retrieve his stolen weapon without killing the mortal who took it.
