It's been 2 years since the Ceremonial Duel between Yami/Atem and Yugi. Yugi still hasn't gotten over that Yami has left for the afterlife and hasn't done a whole lot since. When the story of Yugi's father becomes clearer, can he handle who he truly is or will he fall into a pit of despair and loneliness. After all what if Yami's departure wasn't a goodbye, but merely until next time I see you. YamiXYami/Atem eventually but not right away. I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh or it's characters. Just the plot. Might turn into multiple books.

Yami Atem, a once cruel and heartless king, was obsessed with power and therefore, only cared for himself. However, because of his cold heart and selfish ways, he paid the ultimate price: Becoming a hideous dragon beast. Now Yami has one year to make things right by falling in love with another, who will return those same affections, otherwise he will remain with the doomed fate of staying a dragon beast forever. However, due to his ghastly form, he has locked himself away in his castle, abandoning the idea that he could break this curse, for who could ever love a beast such as he? Yugi Motou is a young man who only wishes for someone to understand what it's like to be an outcast, to be misunderstood by the world all because you're different in some way. It may seem like a petty thing I ask for, but to Yugi, it would mean the world to have someone who knows just what it's like to feel unwanted all because you're different. However, while going to run an errand for his grandfather, Yugi accidently stumbles upon a castle with a shining blue rose to light his path, meeting the infamous Yami Atem. So then, what will come when these two meet, and can Yugi break through Yami's thick walls to restore what he has lost or will it be too late to warm his frozen heart? Disclaimer: I do no own Yu-Gi-Oh! or its characters, only the story. Parody of "Beauty and the Beast" with my own dark twist on it, and not everything will be accurate. Yami/Yugi pairing. The love of his life was gone from his life and all Yuugi had to remember his Yami were the memories and the feelings of unrequited love left unspoken in his heart. Strange dreams have been plaguing him as of late, each one about crimson eyes and an ancient civilization that Yuugi knows all too well. After an accident leaves Yuugi hospitalized these dreams quickly begin to grow more real. Almost as if they were memories. What does it mean? I'm Yami Kakudo. I was really good friends with the Sakamaki and the Mukami brothers when I was little, but the good times didn't last long. My family got into an accident and they all forgot me. I was kicked out of the house since they thought I was an intruder. I ran and ran and found myself in front of a church. I was found by Seiji Komori and adopted by him. I also met my older sister Yui Komori, who still doesn't know that I'm a adopted sister. I really wanted to meet my best friends again but I never got a chance. One day father said that he will send us to the Sakamaki manor and I was overjoyed, but when we got there nobody remembered me... Am I, forgotten again?

Yugi knows that he is in a better place, but never had a chance to tell Atem about his true feelings for him. "I really can't thank you enough for staying by my side when everything happened, even when I pushed you guys away." Yugi discovers his heart disease, but wont be able to collect enough money for his treatment. He doesn't tell his friends about his condition, hoping they don't find out or ask about it. "I'm glad that both of you are happy together. Just know if you need anything from me, never hesitate to ask." Three years pass while Yugi is in more pain, only then his friends ask more about what is going on. Yugi won't tell them anything about it, but what happens when a familiar face returns. A hikari cannot live without a yami. A hikari without a yami has a year to live and will slowly vanish, the said hikari will become particles of lights before completely gone like a candlelight that has burned out. It has been a month since Yugi has live on her own without her yamis. She lost her friends thanks to a lie that Vivian and Anzu spread and to make things worse her grandfather was died due to an accident back in Egypt. Everyday that has pass makes Yugi's condition worsen to the point that Dark Magician is pissed at Atem and Yami and makes a decision to look after his Mistress Yugi in placed of them. Will they realize their mistake before Yugi's time runs out or will Yugi die in vain? [A/N]: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! but the story plot is mine and nope I don't hate any Yu-Gi-Oh Characters, I just have my most favorite to least. This is all a pure fanfiction, none of this really happened in the real story :)

Yami is finding it difficult being away from everyone and now has returned to being Atem. A few years has passed and Yami finally has a mirror into Yugi's world and is able to see what he is up to. Unfortunately it isn't going well with Yugi as he is not the happy teen he used to be. Yami has had enough of watching and begs the gods to let him return and they do, giving him the body he used to have. What will happen when Yugi meets up with Yami again and when Yami has seen what has happened to Yugi. I do not own Yugioh or it's characters, I only own the plot. Also the cover was made by @RubyFireheartPhoenix who also does some good stories!!
