Lissa hates winters on Keylosus, a human expansion planet that is perfect for life- almost. Three months out of the year, the planet swings out of the habitable zone of their star. The inhabitants must move to tunnels below the frozen planet's surface. This is how it's been for almost 200 years. But surprisingly, Lissa finds this may not be the case forever. I welcome any and all feedback. Thanks for reading! This is part of a science fiction flash fiction contest. The original story was about 500 words longer, and I stripped it down to just under 1000 for the contest. After the contest, I will probably add those parts back in, so stay tuned!
