Alex can be best described as "Boring or Normal" He has what is seen as a boring job, a boring and normal house,a boring car, he goes to work, goes home, and repeats it every day. Only thing that is "unique" about him is daughter Everly. He has been single for a long time, because everyone is turned off by a single dad. Zack leads a very different and carefree life. He is a bartender at one of the most popular night clubs in town. As a self proclaimed party animal, being a bartender at the night club allows him to spend his days as he wants, and spends his nights partying, or spending his evenings with people who are partying, and being surrounded by people who are just as lively as him. His life up until this point has had very little responsibility. Not that he didn't strive to be responsible, he had his bearings about him, and he enjoyed his life, but he lived his life as he wanted and at the beat of his own drum.
