Every Word Leaves A Mark

I've never been good at saying how I feel.
So for better or worse, I put them on here.
People keep telling me it'll help me heal.
In reality, all I need is for you to be near.

In the prettiest way possible, allow me to say
every word that we've refused to make heard.
This isn't a game that we can all just play.
This is life and the lines aren't really blurred.

There a things we say that are true,
but it doesn't mean we need the snark.
This is where I found fit to tell you,
that every word leaves a mark.
