"To find peace, one must peer into the heart of discord. To bring an end to war, one must spread bloodshed throughout the lands. For their voices to be heard. For rage to overcome the miserable lives of those too weak to fend for themselves. My children...you must kill the pain." - Ink Witch

* * *

The continent of Totaris is slowly suffocating under the merciless thumb of Lord Vaashill. Once prosperous lands are squandered and pillaged, homes burned, wives and children taken, all men alike slaughtered, and corruption seeps into the bones of many. Totaris seems bound to a cruel fate for many years to come.

Until the Night of the Black Moon.

Darkness cloaks the moon, a thunderclap fit for the gods shakes the earth, and darkness rains from the heavens, tasting of blood and ink. Screams of horror unravel... and three families become smaller, each losing an infant to the hands of something unknown. Something powerful. Legend calls it the Ink Witch. These chosen three children are trained under the witch's wing and adopt a foreign breed of magic that makes the boots of many quiver. To the world, they are known as the most fearsome warriors imaginable--Inklings.

Now, the Inklings must fulfill the Ink Witch's dying wish--to slaughter Lord Vaashill before his power spreads beyond the border of Bane Forest.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: Legends tell of a war that has brought misery upon our lands, separating us from the united civilisation we once carved into the sand gifted by the suns. It was worse than a punishment from the gods, with the souls of the fallen ones still remaining to fight for the honour and protection of the home they once had, for their stories lost among the land of war, and for the glory they have given in exchange of the blade of memories, witness to their sins, losing themselves into the chaos of fate. Now, only the new generations are capable of changing this chaos and bring peace into our lands. We can only hope that the gods have written our peaceful ending into our fate. PART DESCRIPTION: The first part of "Glory in War" focuses on getting to know the world of a corrupted society resulted from a horrific war. One part of this civilisation is put to hide in the shadows of the lands in order to survive, while the other part hunts them with no hesitation, wishing to kill even the last man possible. **COMPLETED*** This is book 2 and can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read "Fated" first. Something caught my eye and when I looked up in the mirror I saw Rykan stepping inside, shutting the door and sliding the lock in place. My heart hammered in my chest as he approached me. He came right up behind me, setting his hands on my hips, never breaking our gaze through the mirror. "Kora," he murmured, stepping closer until my back brushed against his chest. His hand slid down to the end of my skirt and he flattened his palm against my bare leg, sliding his hand up my skirt. "I'm married," I blurted, swallowing hard and trying to ignore how much I liked the way it felt having his hands on me. "Hm," he grunted, narrowing his eyes as he continued his ascension up my outer thigh. His touch sent tingles all over my body, sending heat right between my legs. He gripped my leg and suddenly turned me, his hand now palming my ass as he pulled me against him, his teeth scraping against my neck as his other hand up to my neck. "Didn't seem to bother you when you had me down your throat last night," he said, wrapping his hand around my throat and lifting his head to give me one of those heart-stopping stares. "In fact, I believe you started that, angel." Koralie always felt that there was a part of herself missing. A part she hadn't yet discovered. Stuck in a toxic marriage, she's navigating her way out of it when she meets Rykan, a mysterious stranger she feels an undeniable draw towards although she isn't sure why. Things become even more intense when he starts showing up in her dreams, claiming he is a werewolf and they are mates. An even more unexpected turn of events comes when Kora starts looking into the supernatural world and finds it is not as foreign to her as it should be. Warning: This story contains very mature themes including brief mentions of abuse, mature language, mental health and sexual content.
