Jonathan Wolf, an effeminate high school student in the coast of Oregon, witnesses an event that changes his life. The blue sky turns purple before his very eyes! Yet, not a single person around him pays any mind to it. His friends mentions the Mandela effect, and the many worlds theory, and it all clicked with him: he's in an alternate universe.
In a desperate attempt to find anyone from his own universe, he meets Venus; a rebellious girl with a difficult home life, the only other person in his school from his own universe. The two grow a close bond. Feeling totally alone in the world, they share a mutual fear that the sky isn't the only thing that's changed. A search to find the things that have changed ensures.
But, Jonathan and Venus are running out of time. A devastating hurricane will come and destroy their town by weeks end. What will they be able to learn before they are forced move? Will they ever see a blue sky above their heads again?
