It is hard growing up when you look different. In "Angel Kisses", a little girl with a birthmark is worried about leaving the comfort zone of her neighborhood and friends to attend her first day of school (after experiencing several insensitive looks and comments). In our current society there is a focus on preventing bullying...but what about the unkind looks and comments that come, not only from children...but from their parents and other adults? We should all embrace our differences...they make us unique. Wouldn't the world be a boring place if we were all the same?

Just because you're into something different than me doesn't make you any less of me. Everybody is unique. Nobody is the same. Embrace your differences. You're amazing just the way you are."
