‪You know that gray area between popular and social outcast? Like, you're not one of the jocks, but not someone who sits alone at lunch either? That's where Carter was in highschool-being kept out of the spotlight, and he liked staying in that middle ground. But then Max showed up; Catholic school expelli and rock band lead singer and guitarist. Quickly, he took the attention of almost everyone. From theatre kids for his musical abilities, the few goth kids for his rebellious nature and countless 70s and 80s band t-shirts, to even the athletic kids for his physique-6'3" with built arms. A party led them to a friendly encounter, which eventually leads into a whirlwind of kisses in locked cars and soft embraces in empty houses, a secret between the two of them, which increasingly became harder to keep.
