"This is Will Robinson of the 24th Colonist Group. I'm making a record of this because it seems I'm the first human to discover evidence of an alien intelligence," He said and pointed the camera at the wreckage while walking closer.

"Why? I don't know why. I don't even know why we crashed. The-The ship has sustained heavy amounts of damage and appears to be non-functional. No sign of any pa-passengers," he said shakly.

He peered closely into it and then he heard a small groan.

He pointed the camera closer.

"Was that-?" Then he stopped.

A girl about his age pulled herself out of the wreckage. Will quickly shut off his camera and walked backwards, tripping over a stick, falling to the ground.

'What!?!'

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! "Hey, who are you?" I could tell he wasn't trying to scare him off while still trying to establish the fact that we could hurt him if we wanted to. "I was gonna ask you the same question," he replied. "But since to beat me to it, I'm Eli. I'm just a seventeen-year-old kid out here alone. Y'all seem to be in the same situation." His southern accent was thick but definitely not South Carolinian. It sounded more like he was from Alabama or Mississippi. "True. For how long?" "Four weeks. I ran away because of...circumstances," he said, trailing off on the last word. "Prove to us you're not dangerous," Marcus threatened. "Prove to me you're not dangerous," Eli countered. "I don't even know your names." "Fine. I'm Marcus, that's Peyton, Luke, and Aaliyah," he answered, gesturing toward each of us as he spoke. I could tell he didn't trust the guy, but he seemed good enough. He hadn't said anything to make us distrust him, but he also hadn't said anything to make us trust him. "Look, dude, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm looking for something a friend told me about a few weeks ago. She said there was a whole network of teens out here, but there's a camp somewhere in Florida that gives them a place to stay. Secret, of course, and run by teens, but anyway, it seems safer than being out here and living off the land." "Wait, you mean there are more of us?" I asked. ☁ Three teenagers find themselves rejected by their families after they're all unexpectedly outed on the same night. With the help of their friend, they head to the streets in search of freedom and acceptance. Along the way they meet another boy, and there's more to him then they could have ever guessed. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.
Our Reluctant Caretaker by Kay_Gilbert

"We don't have a Caretaker. We have a Creationeer. And we love her." ~Humanity. We think we're from here, but are we really? What happened to us before then, and who was involved? Kit - a young B-Tier Creationeer - didn't want this job. She's not trained to be an Intelligent Species Caretaker, and yet she's forced to care for the last remnants of a damaged and traumatized humanity by an old, malicious evil. After carrying us around in a modified to-go habitat bubble for 18K years, Kit wants a vacation, but is hesitant to leave us alone on our new planet she built; Earth. She confides in Pan - an A-Tier Caretaker and Kit's best friend and roommate. She reveals the full story of how she came to be in possession of us and why she can't hand us over to a licensed Caretaker. Pan reveals the tragic truth of the first 10 years of our existence before Kit found us. The new knowledge Ignites a fire in both. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice. And also Screw Jim. (warning: Contains strong language.) Please comment and vote. :) I'd really appreciate it. ^_^ (This idea was born from the second I saw a photo of Earth from orbit showing the glow of our atmosphere and thought, "Haha! We live on a bubble planet." :) ) NOTE: They're not gods. This is not theology. They don't have all the answers, they're not all powerful, and they can't do everything. They're closest equivalent in a fandom would be like lesser cousins to the Q. In this AU, Humanity knows about Kit. They don't deify her. To them, Kit's presence is normal, tangible, and real. She's always been there.
