18 year old Jackson Smith views college as a means of escape. The only child of two verbally abusive and transphobic parents, their only hope of being themself is by distancing themself from their parents. Cutting off contact with their parents shortly after moving into their dorm, their actions have unforseen consequences. Will Jackson's parents ever seek help for their own issues and try to accept Jackson for who they are, or was their family destined to fall apart? "The Art of Falling Apart" tells a fictonal tale of an all too familiar story for some transgender and nonbinary youth via emotional poetry. Written by nonbinary author James Doe.

حان وقت إكمال ما توقفنا عنده، رحلة لا تزال في بدايتها.. ستضحك..ستبكي..ستؤلمك قصة أحدهم، ستتعاطف مع آخر. لكن في النهاية ستحزن على فراقهم جميعاً. في بعض الأحيان تكون إرهاقات الفراق أسوأ من الفراق نفسه، عندما تشعر بثقل الحديث حتى يقل مع الشخص الذي كان السلام بينكما يجعلك سعيدًا مبتسمًا. شعورك عندما تكون حزينًا ولا تسطيع أن تتحدث معه خوفًا من أن تكون حملًا ثقيلًا عليه.. عندما تريد أن تعبر له عن اشتياقك؛ لكنك تتراجع خشية ردوده الباردة، كيف هو شعورك وأنت الطرف الأكثر بذلاً للجهد.. لم أكن أطلب الكثير.. كل ما كنت أريده فقط هو أن يكون لي نفس الحب الذي أقدمه! كنتِ ولا زلتِ نجمة مضيئة في دربي، يزداد وجهك ويزداد حبي..مهما طال فراقنا فأنا لا أتخلى عن شيء أعتبرته مِلكاً لي.. وأنتِ أعز ممتلكاتي.
