The rural town of Oakhaven has been abandoned, and for a good reason. A threat has killed off most of humanity, including their town. Very few people have survived, but it's only the beginning.
Lennon, the (non-binary) main character has to travel to survive, as staying in their town is off the table. Having only vague memories to guide them, they are able to make their way out of every danger they come across.
How do you think this story will end? Feel free to guess what will happen next after the end of each chapter. Who knows, I may use your idea! (with credit of course)

Pearl Blankenship, an autistic investigative journalist, witnesses the end of the world. Before the nuclear fallout can kill her, a mysterious being offers her a choice: come with him or stay on a dying planet Earth. **** Dumuzi, the being who offered, is an Anunnaki: a descendant of humankind's ancient alien creators. It is his mission to wipe out what remains of humanity in a few short weeks, sparing only those with a thirst for knowledge and moral character. After becoming a journalist, Pearl was mocked online, arrested for trespassing, and challenged globally for her conspiracy theories. Two things she knows for a fact: mankind deserves a second chance, and staying on Earth sounds... well, hazardous. She hopes that by getting closer to Dumuzi, she might be able to change his mind about humanity, as he is a councilman with power. But it isn't going to be easy. Communicating? It's difficult for her. And he is cold, wary of humans, and has weeks left to live due to an illness that plagues him. The more time she spends with him, the more his illness accelerates, and the more steamy attractions ignite into something seriously dangerous. The clock is ticking. There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story. (The whole story has now been published, the only thing I'll still add is the final epilogue but the story is already available in its entirety.)

"Because it's Thursday. I don't like being alone Thursdays, Mondays and Sundays." "Why's that?" Xena is a quiet and talented girl hiding so many secrets and so much suffering behind her scars and words. It wasn't until Josh, the world famous drummer for Twenty One Pilots, kindly decided to pick up her spilled groceries and offer her his spare bag that Xena realised she could finally have something good in her life again. Grabbing coffee with Xena was seemingly harmless until their friendship blooms and Josh lets himself get too close. Xena seemingly doesn't like him back, but who knows, she might come around. Whilst Xena is finally getting her happiness back, James, the boy who caused a world of hell for Xena, gets released from the Twin Valley Mental Institution and puts into action the plan he's been thinking up for years whilst he was locked away. His plan takes a turn for the worst, leaving Xena's only friends shattered and damaged for a long time. Xena should've listened to cliche quotes like 'not all good things last forever' because sometimes as cliche as they are, the lessons you learn from them aren't. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- this is the first story i've ever uploaded :) also i suck at writing blurbs so i am v sorry. if someone wants to write one for me that would be great, i've spent 2 hours scrapping it and re-writing it so... i hope you like it i try really hard with every update to make it enjoyable thinking about doing another story after this one is finished. i know it's a while away, but i am probably gonna take requests for it since i haven't got many ideas yet. enjoy the story, feedback is very much appreciated, thank you! TRIGGER WARNINGS: mental illness, hinting/mentions of self harm, sexual assault, abuse etc...

Nico di Angelo feels like he isn't meant to be happy. Every person he's ever loved has died or betrayed him, and that just led to his happiness going further and further down the drain. Instead of socialization, he spends his time with his nose in a textbook. At least he has school going for him, right? When out of the blue his family decides to pack up and move to middle-of-nowhere Louisiana, he fears that nothing will change. That is, until he meets Will Solace. What will happen when the smartest kid in the grade is forced to tutor the struggling student/outstanding hockey player that everyone worships? Please note that almost all of the characters in this story belong to Rick Riordan. Also note that there are some strong topics in this story, such as depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and more. There will most likely not be trigger warnings at the beginning of chapters, so read at your own risk.
