How can you yell if you have no voice? No muse to sing your song of despair, if you have no voice how can you yell the injustice of events. You do have a voice, and if no one cares to listen then make them listen. A voice can still be heard, even if you cannot speak.

Love Is Mute
Taytum James is a 17 years old, openly gay guy and is beaten and rapped almost daily when he was younger by his dad and a couple of his dad's friends; this started when Taytum was only 8 years old. He became mute by choice when he was 10 years old. Now as a senior in high school, he hasn't talked to anyone in 7 years, not even his best friend Taryn Irwin or his mum and step-brother and half sister. Taytum know lives with his mum and half siblings for four months now. He wants to talk to his mum and his best friend but he finds life is easier to cope with if he remains silent. Perhaps one day he will find the courage to speak to them but perhaps not. The first day of senior year, Taytum sees a new student, who by appearance looks to be in Taytum and Mitchell's (Taytum's step-brother) grade. Finn knows that sex in his world is never followed by anything as absurd as love. So he carries on, still he craves and late at night, his desires take over him and he imagines what his life would feel like if he dropped all the pretenses. Jude doesn't talk. He can't, even when he wants to. They don't want to hear what he has to say, and they only use their words to hurt him. So why even try anymore? Starting at a new school seems like the perfect opportunity to blend into the background, but it isn't far enough away to start over. Some people just won't let him forget about his past.
