This is a period drama set in the later 1800s. As the monarchy reshuffles, the aristocratic ways of the 1800s are on the way out, The Iris Family, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Winchester, find themselves connected to the whole dilemma. PLEASE NOTE: Before I get yelled at about things being historically inaccurate, yes this is a fiction, no it is not historical fiction, it is a PERIOD DRAMA.

Rosemary (Rose) Mariner was not born to a wealthy family, but she made her own way in life despite the struggles. Growing up in a cottage on the estate of a wealthy duke, she learnt from a young age that her friendship with the Duke's son was doomed to end. When her father passed away, she is left without a home or funding, turning to the only money a young pretty girl could make. Working the bar at a house of ill repute. Keeping herself away from the clubs members was difficult, but what proved the larger challenge was keeping her eyes off the new security man whose husky voice and intimidating stature made her curiously drawn in. Quinn William Norbury, the 7th Duke of Aylesbury was not one to sit still and mingle with the ton he so detested. Instead of attending balls, Quinn spent his spare time undertaking missions in service to the Crown. His latest quest? To moonlight as a security guard for in an exclusive gentlemans club, infamous for its sordid services and even more underhanded clientel. Someone is plotting to kill an Earl and where best to look for shady characters but at a shady club? The only spanner in the plan is that instead of keeping his eyes on the members, Quinn finds he can't keep his eyes, or his mind off the stunning and fiery barmaid he remembered from childhood. Only, Quinn isn't himself and Rose doesn't recognise him.
