You are a reserved student in London, passing most of your time playing pool in your favourite pub: The Cherry House. From hustling unsuspecting opponents, your life begins to change one night upon meeting a new stranger deciding to play knight in shining armour.
An inexplicable attraction sparks in the pair, despite your lives being anything from similar. Tom is breaking out into Hollywood, living his life as a new star in the world. And you try to keep hidden from everyone, your life a mystery to all.
That is until you realise the hold Tom held on you, a dangerous new feeling that feels enticing and inescapable.
But as time passes and your heart seems to be growing fonder of Tom, are you really ready to let him into your life of broken families, shameful secrets and pain? Or is the best thing to do is let him go completely?

"Why have you been acting so weird around me today?" "What? I haven't been acting weird." I sit on the bed and cross my arms, wincing when the pressure from my arm sends a jolt of pain through my injured hand. "Yes, you have been. Any time I tried to talk to you all day, you made up some excuse to run off." "I don't know, Tom, I'm still getting used to us being friends." He rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "What now?" "It just seems like you're looking for a reason for us to fight." He scolds. "Really? Because right now it seems like you're the one fighting," I scoff. "God, I knew this was too good to be true." I walk into the bathroom to start taking my makeup off and Tom follows me. "Too good to be true?" He leans his hand on the counter next to me. He's radiating warmth. It makes me feel dizzy. I shake my head to get rid of the feeling. "Yes. Any time we take any kind of step to becoming friends, it gets ruined. Hence, what is happening now." I look at him through the mirror. Shock is plastered all over his face. "You are impossible!" He whisper-shouts. "Any semblance of an argument is blown way out of proportion." I place both hands on the counter and look into the sink. "All I've ever wanted was for us to get along," he scolds. "And it seems like every time we make any kind of progress, you push me away." I scoff and look over at him. I'm surprised to see tears in his eyes. He steps back toward the bedroom. "Maybe we shouldn't talk for a while. Clearly, we need to figure our shit out." He blinks his tears away and turns around, walking toward my bedroom door. "Tom!" He doesn't turn around, he doesn't acknowledge my calling him, he just walks out the door. "Fuck!" I whisper to myself. ----- Will Y/N and Tom finally be able to put their stubbornness aside and face the truth about their relationship, or will things end up as they always do: messy and uprooted?
