Let's be honest. No one is truly plain and simple. Everyone has a tale. That is why you are here after all correct?
Italy. 1948. The war is over, families are being reunited, bombs are being exchanged for books, and children are playing in the street once again. 12 year old Inverno Temporale lives with her Mother and sister among the cobblestone roads and the crisp stars at night. But a man by the name of Piero Marco and his underground regime the P.C.L.S. want to change all of that. They claim that everyone with magic are dangerous witches and that they should be separated from the rest of society, leaving Inverno and millions of others with and without magic, in fear for their lives.

Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. (This is not based on The 100 but there are similarities.) (Some violent themes, but other than that is entirely clean.) Please comment if you have any questions or concerns. This is a first draft so it is definitely not perfect yet.. Thank you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Where'd you learn to do that?" I asked about the intricate knots that he had tied so swiftly. He paused. "Jail." I glared at him in shock at what had just come out of his mouth. "Seriously?" His straight face broke into a grin. "No. Boy Scouts."

The Last Apothecary

38 parts Complete

"Twenty seven years ago, Witches came out from hiding. Tired of being misunderstood, of being told as scary bedtime stories to kids, and being offended every Halloween by some green-faced girl knocking on their door, they opened their whereabouts to the public. Unfortunately, the peace treaty they signed came a bit later, but now we've integrated into their society. Magik stores are neighboring Shopmarts. It's pretty fair by today's standards. We have our magik, and they have their electricity, their technology, their science... I suck at science." Crow is a rebellious young Witch in a world full of social changes. Riots are always out in the streets, laws are changing left and right to make way for new magik, but honestly, Crow has bigger things to worry about. Every witch has one power, unique to them, and he should have figured it out already. He's not even sure if he wants to know anymore. Maybe he could just forget it all and become an archeologist like he's always dreamed of. However, when he is found to be the last Apothecary, a long forgotten way of magik, he is flung full-force into the world of Witches, and from there, all the politics he's tried so long to avoid. Now he must pick a side, Human, or Witch, before their fight destroys everything and everyone he cares for. THE AMAZING COVER WAS MADE BY STORMRIDDEN! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
