A typical watching the movie fic... with a few twists.
Hiccup is unloved, unwanted, and unknown. He is forgotten more often than not, even with his newfound 'popularity'. He doesn't even hesitate in running away.
But when he is in the air after flying away from Berk for the final time, having been chosen to kill the Nightmare, he and the entire population of Berk are suddenly teleported to a mysterious room, where a voice in the air tells them that they are going to watch a movie. Could this get any worse? Yeah, it can. There's a barrier between the Vikings and the dragons, which Hiccup cannot cross, and the Red Queen (Red Death) is linked into the Network. Not to mention the fact that the whole village is going to see what he did... yay. Fun.

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Follow the brave Viking on a journey filled with joy, pain and even love, as he comes back to Berk... quite unexpectedly. 20/07/18: Changed the dialogue format and corrected a few grammatical errors. Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12Complete
Ups and downs (ON HOLD)
Was going to be a one-shot but I decided to turn it into an actual book. Oh I decided to change Hiccup's age, so when they defeated the Red death, Hiccup and toothless were both 17 years old. May have mpreg. It has been 3 years since Hiccup and Toothless defeated Red Death and Hiccup lost his leg, he and Astrid are going well, at least that's what all of Berk thinks, but she breaks up with him just before he is supposed to propose but he does not want to marry her since he is in love with another person, well not person, he is in love with his dragon and toothless loves him back, anyways Astrid told him that she always loved him but she only used him for the power of being the heir to the Berk throne, she never loved him, she just wanted to be on top as usual, what will happen when she is found out. Will she be banished or will Hiccup leave, just to come back in a year when Drago Bludvist attacks?? Or maybe Hiccup will not leave, maybe he will be busy getting ready to become chief or he will be talking to toothless...or flying??? READ TO FIND OUT!!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE MOVIES BECAUSE THERE ARE SPOILERS!!!! The Strongest of Them All
Mistreated and malnourished, little Hiccup doesn't understand why most everyone on Berk hates him. Gobber notices the abuse and steps in, but things quickly spiral out of control and the only way to keep Hiccup safe is to smuggle him off of Berk and into the hands of their allies. Hiccup is soon adopted into another tribe and grows up discovering what having a true family is like, but the past never stays in the past, as he soon discovers when Berk reaches out to the famed Dragon Master for help.
