Theresa "Reese" McKinney is a seventeen-year-old girl, just doing her best to survive high school, but when her country breaks out in full-fledged war, she has to learn how to survive something a whole lot bigger. With the knowledge of a missile headed straight for their Missouri town, her parents send her to a camp for children and teens, meant to protect them. There, she struggles to get along with the other kids, but that becomes the least of her problems when a soldier stumbles onto their campus, injured, and she claims he's her brother to prevent his certain death.
