The truth is out. Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion, was Pink Diamond all along. It shocked all of the Gems, but Steven was the most affected. His anger now only grows, seeing that his mother, who he once looked up too, was nothing more than a coward, a murderer, and a liar. What pushes him over the edge is when Pearl and the other Crystal Gems still want him to be like her. Pearl doesn't realize, though, that she will set off a chain of events that nobody could've predicted, starting with her 'baby' going back to when it all began. They are Rose Quartz's legacy. They are the Crystal Gems. An odd AU that is rather different from canon (and yes, I'm aware of how weird the concept is). The story begins to make major changes as the story progresses. Anyway, hope you have as much fun reading this as I did making it. (Also, read chapter 22. Trust me.)
