CIA recruit Kyle Wolf sits in the back of the C-130 transport plane with his future squad-mates.  Kyle must pass one more test before he can officially join the team's black-ops mission against the ruthless drug cartels:  S.E.R.E.  Short for "Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape" S.E.R.E. is an immersive wilderness survival gauntlet that simulates a "behind-enemy-lines" scenario, complete with pursuit by enemy combatants.  

S.E.R.E is tough, but so is Kyle.  He can already taste the bad-guy blood waiting for him on the other side.  So he jumps out of the plane. 

Things go bad, immediately.  A hard landing destroys crucial survival gear, and a lethal revelation ups the stakes.  Training is over, and Kyle must use his intelligence and untested survival skills in order to make it home alive.All Rights Reserved

Follow along with the narrator with his recap of his time in the Vietnam War, where he experienced more than the average mind can begin to comprehend. The narrator spent most of his time during the war in combat, fighting the relentless enemy and experiencing some of the worst that Vietnam has to offer. Due to his combat experience, he picks up the interest of the CIA where they recruit him for a Classified operation. This proves however, to be more than he bargained for as the operation goes on, they learn that there is a sinister plot that is waiting to be revealed. A new danger is introduced testing the narrator's capabilities and slowly eating away at his sanity that would last for years to come. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete. Comments would be great to see so we know if something needs to be fixed or if it's a good story.

I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense.
