In a post-apocalyptic world, Joseph's only friends are the mayflies. They seem to be the only ones who ever understood him. When he accidentally kills his favorite mayfly, Beth, he seeks to bring her back to life with a dangerous potion: A potion of necromancy. Of course, the other survivors don't believe him when he tells them his goal, but he proceeds with it anyway.
