She liked the stars. I think it was the illusion of permanence, I think but I'm not sure. She had always said it was because stars are flashing up and caving in and going out but they are still there every night when you go to sleep. She could pretend that lives last longer than moments. Gods come and go but I think she knew that worlds don't last; and stars and galaxy's are temporary, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and burn into cold and dust.
But she could pretend...

But then again pretending doesn't block out the pain and misery of life, but maybe love can...
