"You think I give a shit about everyone else in Prythian if it's your life on the line?" Azriel snapped. Eclipse's eyes watered and she looked away in frustration. Azriel reached forward and grabbed her chin forcing her to look at him. Eclipse's breath caught in her throat at the intensity of his stare. "If it's you or Prythian, I will light the fucking fires myself and burn it all to the ground." "Az-" she breathed softly staring into his hazel eyes. "No. I waited 500 years for this, for you, and if you think that I will ever be okay with spending one Cauldron damned second of this life without you from this point forward, then you are sorely mistaken." He stared deeply into her eyes. "If you.. Mother.... If you die Eclipse there's no fucking point to anything. Mate or not you are the light of my life. Nothing makes sense without you, it's all just blood and shadow without you and I can't, I won't go back to that. So if you go, then I'm following right behind." What if, hear me out, but what if Rhysand's sister hadn't been the youngest of his blood relations. What if, before her death she had been married off to the heir to the Day Court? What if they had a daughter? Born somewhere in between the day and night, a bridge between the courts. Powers from both. An affinity to control the light and dark, an intuition so keen she had never been wrong a day in her life, an affinity for magic and spells so strong she could rival her father, known by many names. The Warrior Princess, the Candle in the Dark, Daydreamer, Eclipse; Spell Weaver.

In a world where your eye color can determine your status, where monsters roam the earth, how can a team of two siblings, a "child", a priest, a few orphans and the devil really hope to survive? *** Aurora is a thirteen year old student mage who was placed into a boarding school at five years old. It was found out that her brother was magicless, and she's bullied for that. This, paired with his absence, has led her to feeling attached to her brother, and when she is notified of his distant arrival, she is ecstatic, despite being notified during a dire situation. Her life doesn't exactly get better from there, as she is whisked into a world of constantly oncoming danger. Her brother tries to defend her, but can she really be safe with his poor judge of character? Especially in the case of a certain omen of bad luck. Arthur, an eighteen year old adventurer and the brother of Aurora, does indeed have poor judge of character, but he's always been around terrible people. Despite this, he does find the good in others and always tries to show that to his sister. Unfortunately he is always proved wrong by his favored companions, who later reveal the worst of themselves to him. On top of that, he's always seen as less than, and he seems to have accepted that, but at least he understands that the only universal constant is that his sister loves him and he loves his sister. The main character is left ambiguous for a majority of the introduction. It's like he was plopped into the world at the last minute, even though he develops major plot points like the second magic system and the demon hunting. Those aren't even major spoilers, that's just surface level stuff. He's the aforementioned omen of bad luck that follows the siblings, and others that are soon to follow. Though, he seems to be the only competent one, as he saves the siblings time and time again. They almost seem useless to him, yet he stands by them anyway. One begins to wonder... is he really a demon?

She shrugged, "by the looks of it, your going to be a father soon." Darkness exploded through the room. Cutting out my vision, it seeped through the windows, blocking out any visible light. Calloused hands pressed down against my shoulders, holding me in place. Soothing talons scraped down my mental barriers, trying to pry them open. I could feel his presence through the dark, feel the warmth of his body as he stood in front of me. The darkness subsided to uncover the violet stare of Rhysand eyes gazing down at me. Talons scraped at my mental walls once more before he spoke down our bond, Is this true? I looked to my mate, "Yes." He receded a few steps, stumbling over his words, "how?" "Well, when a mummy and a daddy love each other very much-" "HOW?" He snapped, cutting me off. Sighing, I relaxed my wings, exhausted from today's events, and let them slide to the floor. "A witch put a spell on me," I muttered, unable to make eye contact, "one which I think changed the year I was living in." *** Feyre is the Hight Lady of the Night Court. Living out her life, she thought it was going to be a prefect happily ever after with her only struggles being breaking the news to her mate about her pregnancy. Little did she know the darkness looming within the background, waiting to strike.
