Ancient elemental of lightning

At the dawn of time, when God has created the world he decided to split himself into 7 parts that would govern the world. 6 rulers of the elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Light, and Darkness. The purpose is to govern elements and their forces. Last, but not least comes the element of lightning, the protector of the realm and keeper of the balance. They are forbidden to act directly in the world without summoning rituals and contracts. So How will our mc keep the balance?
