¿Whats a Soul? Abstract entity traditionally considered the immaterial part that, together with the body or material part, constitutes the human being; he is credited with the ability to feel and think, right? Or, well, that's what the internet says, that's what Cleo thought her entire life.
She isn't living in a fantasy a world, she doesn't believe in ghosts, mermaids, or aliens, much less in witches or people with superhero potential, after all, Cleo lives in the system since she was born, in the system where no one is better, in the system that dictates that everyone has the same abilities, they all know, they all do the same, where there is no hope, no heroes to save them, just, a normal world, where the government and the military under his service has all the power, where, nothing, no one special is welcome, where no one really wants to be special cause... special means dead, and, no one really wants to end that way, so... just a normal world... or that's what she thought... until she meets them... until she finds her Soul isn't easy to pass for something common.
Are you ready to find your real soul and connect with yourself? Are you ready to change the world? Cleo isn't, but she has to be cause the world really... really needs her.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. I laugh as I walk down to the shore, holding the heels of my shoes as I walk far enough for the cool water to rush around my ankles. It's funny how life works out.
