Ashley Matthews is just a sixteen year old girl, living in Bath with her family, trying to be okay when she decides that enough. Is just. Enough. She missed her brother, and that's it. Don't get her wrong, she loved her family. But the person she loved the most was her elder brother Daniel, who moved out to go live in New York two years ago. And since then, she just felt lost and so lonely. So, one and a half years and SIX months of begging later, she finally got her parents permission to go live with her brother and complete the last two years of high school.
I was walking towards the office, my head bent down as I texted Daniel "I've reached school. See you later." And entered the air conditioned room and headed towards the receptionist who was standing behind the counter.
As I took my next step, my leg caught on something and I landed on the floor. A couple of girls start laughing and the receptionist looked at me with sympathy. I quickly stood up, adjusted my bag and turned to face a boy who was grinning from ear to ear. 'How'd the meeting with the ground go ?' 'That's it' I thought and punched him right across the face. The girls gasped loudly and the boy tried to lunged at me but two other guys stopped at him.
'Sir, she punched me without any reason !' I looked around to face a tall, bald man in a suit with a pissed off expression. My eyes widened. He looked at me, then at something outside toward the end of the hall which I couldn't see. He took in a large breath before shouting 'BOTH THE MATTHEWS...TO THE PRINCIPLE'S OFFICE RIGHT NOW !'
Eh, both the Matthews ?
All Ashley wanted was to live with her brother and finish high school. But what she did not expect was to meet a person. A person who changed her life forever...
