Elise Benton is awkward by all accounts. Shy- Check. Pimples- Check. Frizzy hair- Check. Hair all over the Fing place- Check. Elise doesn't think she's that strange, after all she's just trying to work with what she's got! She can't help her family is a bunch of assholes who should probably be on some sort of psych meds. She can't help puberty set her up for mockery causing her to be boyfriendless, afraid to even be around boys.

College is Elise's time to shine, she's waited far too long to experiment and shed that ponytail. Plus, she can now afford laser hair removal AND the best damn straightener that student loans can buy. For all those dreadful middle school and high school years, she is more than entitled to a successful career, the man of her dreams and traveling the world. Seems fair, right?

On her quest for love, her naïve self ventures into several precarious situations. Instead of being wined and dined, Elise settles for 'hanging out' and sloppy drunken make out sessions. She turns these lemons into lemonade by denoting each boy as a conquest, that way she is more like a queen than a victim. She gets dumped...a lot. TWICE for Hooters waitresses. Not that Steak N' Shake is any sort of fine dining establishment, but Elise is going places. Losers and users aside, she'll pull up her big girl panties and prevail. She's going to make a life for herself that's so amazing those dicks and bitches in grade school would surely envy. A life her family could only wish they had. She'll show them all.

BUT...life has decided Elise has simply not suffered enough. Multiple failures in all aspects of her life slowly start to debride Elise's once optimistic outlook. Her anxious, weird youth didn't exactly pave the way to 'adult,' but she has to admit she can't blame her shopping addiction on her parents. The only person Elise has to blame is herself, and confronting that thought is scary, but empowering.

"Fuck." He whispers into my neck, sending a thrill of excitement through my body. His lips still smothered kisses over my neck and his hands roamed my body, starting at my chest, going down to my stomach. Caressing my soft skin, his thumb trailed circles on my groin before slightly slipping into the waistband of my jeans. My breath catches in my throat as I pull at the hoodie that covered his chiselled body. Understanding, Jacob pulls it off in one swift movement before attaching his lips back on my neck. Sucking and biting it before flicking his tongue over the sore spot. A quiet moan leaves my mouth and I clasp my hand over it, denying any noise to escape. "You drive me fucking crazy, Aria." ---------------------------- Aria Bailey finds it hard to fit in. Her parents are always busy and never have time for her. She lives alone at her family home and has top grades in all of her classes. But being a 17 year old friendless nerd comes with its disadvantages. The bullying gets worse every single day, driving her to self harm and suicidal thoughts. Aria learns more about popular boy, Jacob Rickson and starts developing feelings for the well known 18 year old. Jacob helps her come out of her shell and learn to be more comfortable and confident. Aria has to make a tough decision by choosing if she would rather be with Jacob and be bullied by her mind for eternity, or to leave and be left alone, exactly how she wants to be. -Strangers to lovers -Right person, wrong time

Not every blonde is stupid. In the South if you're a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl high expectations are made. Either you're not extremely smart, so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. Or you are smart and you just pretend to be dumb so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. All her life Avery Skinner has been told what to do and how to do it- by everyone. By her mother, the girls she calls friends, the guys in school, teachers, family, even Mark the mailman. Needless to say, she's sick of it. Its time Avery took control of her life or at least get a firm grip on the sucker. She's loved football ever since she was a little girl. Yet she could never play because ladies aren't supposed to do such barbaric things. Especially in the South- unless its a rodeo and you're wearing those ridiculously tight outfits that show you're navel or showing you can hold your liquor. Avery has longed to be on the field, throwing the ball instead of cheering on the team her dad coaches that can't seem to win. Then her best friend Austin forces Avery to and for sometime everyone is fooled. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. The moment the townsfolk of Stonehenge, Alabama learned it was a girl under that helmet, was the moment true colors showed. It hasn't been easy and it won't get any better but Avery is here to play. * Avery is going to face REAL life problems, and not nice people. She's going to deal with sexual harassment, mean words, rude people, pregnancy, injuries, steroids, etc.. In this story I want to exemplify how sexist and cruel humans can be. There will be hard moments, but I want to put it out there because it IS a serious problem. Harsh language and such will be present. You have been warned, don't read it then complain.
