~~My whole reason of being here is because of my high marks. It wasn't my choice to go to the Academy but I went because I was told that I was "gifted." The cities are categorized as societies: Alibon, Baron, Catalyst, and Darin. I live in Catalyst. Now you see the reason of this Academy is so I can find out what my so called "gift" is. Sounds cool right? Wrong. There are sometimes cases where people have too much power and they can't learn to control it. I don't know what happens after because the Segregation never tells us, and I can't help but feel that they are hiding something from us. There are different gifts that people possess; destruction, illusion, alteration, restoration, and conjuration. Which one of those do I possess you may ask, the answer is unknown to me or the Segregation. There is only one thing that comes between me, the Segregation, and my class marks... A boy, I seem to have fallen for; his name is Jessie Ember. I start to feel things for him and I don't understand why. He is supposed to be the "tough guy" but yet when I'm around him I see other sides. But there is also one thing that comes in-between him and I, and her name is summed up in two words; Monica Star. My name is Lila, I am 16 years old, and I'm determined to find out what my gift is; no matter what it takes.~~

Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow?
