She is terrified of the dreams but when The Doctor crash lands in her back garden when she is 6 everything changes. He promised to be back in 5 minutes to take her and her older sister Amelia on the adventure of a lifetime but never came back. 

When he returns to her 12 years later and she has been through hell and back will she be willing to let him crush her spirit again? Or will she tell him to clear off to bedlam and be done with her?

Third option that no one knows about... What if she is The Doctor's bonded from another time. Keeping a necklace that houses a million stars and dreams, she is not to be messed with. Never hurt anyone she cares for or else...
