There are all sorts of people. Tall, skinny, short, overweight, balding, and much more. As an artist, sometimes they're Tessa's facsimiles. Because of her Asperger's, she finds it hard to interact with people. She doesn't mind it that much, until one day sketching in the park, a boy sits next to her with his umbrella--on a sunny day.

Previously known as "Mental Love." 17 years old Violet Cavalli considers herself an outcast for lack of better words, but in her defence most of the people who meet her think so, being unfortunately stuck with Asperger's, she was prevented from doing a lot of the things children her age could do in a heart beat, but for the time being going to school was on the top of her to do list and when she's granted her wish, we all know that things can never be simple. Ian Wildon is considered the school's outcast, he was literally shunned by the rest of his fellow schoolmates for his lack of anger management and self control, but this never bothered him completely, he liked being isolated, away from any human contact in the company of a pallet, paint and a huge canvas. What would happen if a person who hates human interaction and a person who lacks the ability to communicate with others cross paths, but as much as its not necessary for them to communicate they both hold a soft spot for one another. The road will never be smooth, instead its going to be bumpy and full of obstacles but we should never underestimate the power of love, and how two outcasts fight their way through the tough world in order to pursue their love...

When absent-minded seizures return for the first time since childhood, River's world begins to blur at the edges. And Willow, who's only just started drawing herself into the future, finds that every sketch includes River's hand in hers. They didn't expect to seriously fall this hard for each other, not at the worst possible moment they believe. But now that they have, together, they learn how to hold each other through uncertainty-hospital visits, missed meals, a thousand almost-breakdowns-slowly and gently, with enough care to still fill the cracks. Perth is all impulse and energy-a graphic designer with a restless mind, fueled by color, chaos, and caffeine. Diagnosed with mild ADHD, he lives by instinct, thrives on noise, and often burns out as fast as he lights up. He speaks in tangents, loves too quickly, and forgets why he walked into rooms. Santa, on the other hand, is silence and precision. A data analyst with high-functioning autism (ASD Level 1), Santa lives by patterns, logic, and a world that makes more sense in binary. He doesn't understand metaphors, avoids eye contact, and keeps his life as structured as his spreadsheets. But love, for them, is not effortless. It's miscommunications, shutdowns, sensory overloads, meltdowns, and deep repair. It's learning that affection doesn't always look like what you've been told. It's needing space, needing touch, and needing language that neither of them grew up hearing. Perth and Santa build a love that doesn't need to be typical-it just needs to be true.
