Jane Doe is a homicide detective for the Highland Police Department. She is the best there is, specializing in hunting down serial killers. She has just closed the major case of the Highland Night Butcher (HNB) and is on to the next. This new case has presented its self to be like no other, because this serial killer seems to be toying with her.
Killing a random, making her question her own identity, and promising this game will end in her death, will Jane catch this killer before the killer catches her?

a cold summer
It has been a stressful year for Rain who has struggled to keep up with the workload during her first year of marine biology at University. Summer solstice arrives and they all decide to go swimming in the Loch to celebrate decent weather for once! Rain jumps in first, revelling in the warm but surprisingly cool water. As she surfaces, the summer weather has disappeared and she discovers her friends' lifeless bodies floating next to her. But how could this happen to strong swimmers in a shallow loch with no currents? The investigation commences and it's clear the police are struggling to find answers.
