It's a fictional story of 1920s. Anirudh is a 19 year's old London returned barrister. He has a dream in his eyes. He want his country (India) to provide the same rights to women which are provided for men. He has opposed many customs and people to fight against cruelty against women, lower and upper caste etc. Bondita on the other hand is a 8 year old girl . She is naughty, cute, fearless and a girl with so many arguments. To save bondita from the victim of Sati pratha Anirudh married her. Although he didn't call her his wife. But she meant everything for him now. His best friend, student, teacher and most importantly his life. Same applies on her. Now anirudh is her mentor, guardian, best friend and her world. It's been 4 years they live together and they share the purest bond together. Anirudh want bondita to be the first lady barrister of Tulsipur. In that era when women were not even allowed to get educated, he sends her to the school every day. They fought alot for this achievement together. Both are against and resist Sati pratha,inequality based on caste and gender, menstrual taboos, child marriage and so many taboos which were common those days.
