I don’t want to look at him because it doesn’t matter how many times he’s told me it’s not my fault, I know it is. I know he is dying because of me, because I’m the one they want, I’m the one they’ve been looking for so long. I’m the one who was supposed to get shot, not him.
“You need to listen carefully-“he said as he started coughing up blood. “-I’ll need you to run up north, run as fast as you have never done before. You’ll eventually reach the border that divides both packs, once there you’ll trespass to the Firestone Pack-“I cut him off with a gasp. I can’t trespass; I’ll be dead if I do.
“But daddy, If I d-“he grabbed both of my hands, stroking them as if to release the fear, which by the way it worked. “Don’t worry, that’s the only place where you’ll be really safe. When you get there you’ll say that your name’s Aliyah Reed Woods, daughter of Andrew Reed the Alpha of the Midnight Blue Pack. They will know who you are.” He is getting paler by every second that passes, but I can see that he is trying his best not to show the pain.
“What am I going to do when I get there, what am I supposed to do?” I sobbed, trying my best to control myself. Not for me but for him, I need to be strong for him.

I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear.
