Krall insists that Captain Kirk returns the stolen device that Kirk had taken to restore peace with another race, but Kirk thinks otherwise. He still needed it. Krall takes the whole crew, leaving Kirk, Krystine, Spock, Bones, Chekov, and Scotty stranded and needing to find them and figure out how to get off the planet. Will the six of them be able to do it? Or will Krall get in their way?

Back on the Enterprise Kirk's brain scans reveal that he is going insane, but before the information reaches the landing party, Kirk vanishes leaving no clues behind.
