Tom and Alden Holt, both members of Monterayne's illustrious Knights of the King's Table, are related by blood and occupation, but hardly in spirit. Nonetheless, they have both been assigned to the protection of one Senator Alice Delquez as she embarks on a diplomatic mission to a southern land.

In the kingdom of Aeziris, a rebellion is rising, but its reins are not in the hands of its citizens. With a fine string entwining her heart with that of its chieftain, Esméralda must walk a knife-edge while navigating her way through a palace of masks and smiles that stab, and maybe just not lose her all in the process. •°• Book #1 in 'of aether' duology. Esméralda Alby has been hammered two things her whole life. One, she is beneath her step-sister; two, to work like a machine. Despite being the first-born daughter of a wealthy merchant, she is never introduced as such, let alone be treated with its honor. After her mother's death, the word love, for her, resonated with the hollow of meaninglessness until she met him, a charismatic man with a persistent aura of mystery. Eirik, the blossom to her flower, the blue to her sky - he who brought spring to her wilting life. He isn't a king as his name suggested, but to her, he had become hers. But when her father's orchards get infected, drastically dwindling their income, Esméralda is forced to leave to the palace to work as a handmaiden for a lady of The Queen's Trial, an event hosted to choose a suitable wife for the Crown Prince of Aeziris. It was supposed to be a job freeing her from the chains of the past, but how long could she stay sane when Eirik stands in front of her as the only heir to the throne of Aeziris, as Crown Prince Aedric Emsworth? There might just be more to the rebellion than what met the eye.

***COMPLETED!!!*** ---- Everyone has secrets... Vincent, Viscount Thorne, perfected his wicked grin and his good-humored mask years ago. He has no time for fools. Or that fickle emotion, love. The ton is full of sheep blindly walking into heartbreak. After all, he had ruined his best friend's little sister for love only to have ripped away from him. Thorne had no choice but to leave her waiting that night in the garden. It was his only choice. So, why does he still regret it so damned much? Especially now, when the lady in question reenters society, scarred but hardly broken. The Duke of Burkeley - that pompous, uptight wanker - declares himself her fiancee, and Thorne finds he will do whatever necessary to keep her out of that prig's clutches. A wager is in order. He'll find her a better bridegroom and then let her go. If only he could. ...but eventually, even the best kept secrets come out... Lady Georgianna is done hiding. So what, the love of her life left her waiting for hours in a darkened garden? So what, the fire chose that evening to entrap her, leaving her face burned? She dares anyone to place her into an imposed exile. Once was enough. With the Duke as her betrothed - the most arrogant and influential of them - Georgie will finally have everything she wanted within her grasp. Well, if Thorne hadn't intervened once more with his ridiculous talk of wagers. Suddenly, Georgie's in a game she can't afford to lose. But, what if she wins? ...Until everything comes crashing down... By season's end, the masquerade ball reveals more than their masked faces. It's a blazing unveiling that trumps even Beau Brummel's exile. The question remains. Will it lead to their ultimate ruination? Or might it just be their salvation? *** UPDATES: Irregular, but I'm going to try for every Friday! After the notification that his older brother was Missing in Action Beau returns home to take on the responsibilities of the ranch, his family and all the people who live and work there. He feels the weight of all the individuals and animals on the ranch that depend on him. Added to the difficulty of coming to terms with the disappearance of his brother, Beau dives head first into running the ranch. Drina Skylard is a popular, talented Country Western singer who is feeling stressed on several levels. She recently took on guardianship of her younger twin half siblings after the death of their parents. She feels the weight of bonding and caring for them, helping them through their grief while dealing with her own. She, the kids, her band and the entire entourage have been performing across the country for eleven months with little to no break. As a result they are all tired, anxious and short tempered. She feels it necessary to give her family and the entire band a hiatus, so they are headed to the 3B Ranch in Montana, owned and operated by Beau Blanton, Champion Bull Rider. Her eleven year old brother and sister follow his career closely and are thrilled to be spending the entire summer at the 3B Ranch and the prospect of actually meeting their hero, Beau Blanton. However; he is definitely not what Drina expected. She understands that he is worried about his missing brother, but his gruff, often times rude manner tests her fiery temper. Beau has little patience for a spoiled, arrogant, wan-a-be cowgirl. However; he soon finds himself enchanted by this sweet, sassy, spunky, and often hot tempered little temptress. ✽+†+✽――――✽+†+✽ At the end of this book videos have been added of the songs sang by both Drina and Beau.
