cinderella original reimagining schoolassignment

Set in a fictional Russia in the 1800's. Uses some Russian language and some other nods to Russian locations and culture, such as Kutkh himself.

A new take on a Cinderella story from a short writing prompt from my college English class. Was meant to include some comedy. Just felt like uploading it here. This is a project I originally started in like.. 7th grade and I've re-written and re-written it over and over again and I'm publishing this now in hopes of it being the final version of the story. My two main characters, Wylie and Elias, going over their days as trans guys in middle school; Wylie playing pretend that he's a cis-guy who has not yet hit puberty, and Elias, who's openly trans at his new school, even though he's been mentally scarred by his outings before. Elias is aroace and has depression; Wylie falls from one crush into the next and has severe trust issues and self esteem problems. The two of them have been, as mentioned, my projects for a longer time now, and I think I've got them right this time.
