"In the city "N" the murder took place." Thousands of stories began in this way: there is a villain who has committed a crime and a detective hero who must catch him. We know that in life everything is not so simple. A "villain" may be a victim of circumstances. A detective may not be a hero. Blood can be not only red. We can be alone in the Universe, or rather, we are alone in two Universes at once. One thing can be said with certainty: even the most powerful of us are suffering from insomnia. So... In the city "N" the murder took place ... Acedia (from Latin acedĭa) is a state of listlessness or torpor, of not caring or not being concerned with one's position or condition in the world. It can lead to a state of being unable to perform one's duties in life. It is related to depression(wiki). I am writing a story in Russian, here will be my translation into English. I would be grateful if you indicate errors in the translation.

I woke up in a world that shouldn't exist. And in a body that isn't mine. The city around me is in ruins-silent streets, broken buildings, a sky that no longer remembers the sun. I don't know how I got here. I don't know who I am. My memories slip through my fingers like sand, leaving behind only fragments-whispers of a promise I can't remember making. But something is wrong. The world feels... stuck, repeating itself like a broken record. Shadows move where they shouldn't. Time bends in ways I can't explain. And the deeper I search for answers, the clearer it becomes-this isn't just about me. There's something out there, buried in the loops of time. Watching. Waiting. If I break free, will I find the truth? Or will I disappear like everything else? When the stars grant a wish, what do they take in return?
